Countdown to Midnight (The Story Sisters #2.5) [Elizabeth & Merit ; Jane & Amity] by Katy Regnery

This was short and sweet, very fitting to the holiday season. When Katy announced that she is going to stop writing the Blueberry Lane Series, I was saddened. I understood why she did it, and couldn't be more respectful of her wishes, this isn't something  she does as a hobby, it's her job. So when I heard she is STILL going to release this novella to at least give as a sort of closure for Elizabeth and Jane Story I was excited. I wanted to get to know these two, as both were mentioned enough in the previous installments and yet I felt I don't know anything important about them. 

The Director and Don Juan (The Story Sisters #2) [Alice & Carlos] by Katy Regnery

This book was one of my absolute favorites in the series. Funny enough with each book I read I feel the same - they are just getting BETTER AND BETTER. I loved the whole idea behind this one, the "reversed roles" and the way it wasn't in all aspects. I loved the fact they are different and yet they fit perfectly together. They are both gorgeous, and I don't just mean physically - they are these two amazing people, each in her/his own right and they deserved to get the best HEA possible. 

The Bohemian and the Businessman (The Story Sisters #1) [Priscilla & Shane] by Katy Regnery

I gotta say each book I read by Katy makes me love her even more. I LOVED the previous sub-series "The Rousseaus" each book was a JOY to read with the last one being my favorite, this one was the same and yet better - something new and yet familiar and loved. Can't get enough of the Blueberry Lane series and Katy, mostly Katy.

The timeline of this one takes place 2 years before the "current time". It's the same timeline as "Crazy About Cameron" (from the Winslow Brothers) in which Margaret Story (Priscilla's sister) finds her HEA with Cameron Winslow. But if you haven't read it, or if you haven't read ANY of the books in the bigger "Blueberry Lane" series it doesn't matter because besides getting a little bit more about the Story sisters, and one scene that was "replayed" from a different angle nothing here is a spoiler. It's something really nice about the series, you can start wherever you want to and it doesn't really matter, though if you start in one sub-series I do think it makes more sense to start with the first one that introduces the siblings. Also it's a good way to avoid minor spoilers. 

J.C. and the Bijoux Jolis (The Rousseaus, #3) [J.C. & Libitz] by Katy Regnery

I loved this book and more over, appreciated this book on so many levels! I truly didn't expect this one to be so special to me, not the way it did. I hope I'll be able to do it justice with my review.. 

Though I was curious about Libitz from hearing about her in Kate and Etienne's book ("Kiss Me Kate", The English Brothers #6), Jean-Christian (J.C. in short) ISN'T my kind of guy, I remember I had a similar thought when I read Alex English's book, I was wondering the same, basically if he will be "redeemable", because let's face it, he sounds like a douche.. (when it's NOT concerning his family). Like with Alex's book, I was happy to be worried for nothing, I truly appreciated J.C.. Yeah he started off as quite annoying in the way he was sure Libitz will fall into his arms (or rather, his bed..) but Libitz was feisty enough to show him she is NOT impressed. Not at all. Which is what I expected from her :) She never did disappoint me in this aspect, she put up a fight against J.C.'s pig like behavior, but she did it while making both him and myself laugh. I really enjoyed their banter. No wonder it made them realize they have more in common then they would easily admit, and that without mentioning they both share a love for art as well as own an art gallery.

Marry Me Mad (The Rousseaus, #2) [Mad & Cort] by Katy Regnery

Sweet and heart-felt. I LOVED this one. Cort and Mad are PERFECT together, I really liked how this one in a way a love re-kindled, and yet it wasn't. Because Mad and Cort were never actually together but as Merit Atwell (Cort's friend) told Mad - she isn't his "type" she is the "prototype" which sums it all out when you think about it. For Mad it was different, she wanted a fairy-tale but she went the wrong way finding it. 

This book shares the same time-line as the previous one. Took me a while to gather when certain things happen but once the story was finished it all made sense to me. Reading this one before the previous one will give away a HUGE spoiler so DON'T DO IT! Start with Jax's story, it's beautiful and sweet like this one :) 

Jonquils for Jax (The Rousseaus, #1) [Jax & Gard] by Katy Regnery

What a sweet sweet story! Really enjoyed it! I really liked that though it IS an emotional story, very endearing from both Jax and Gard, I don't consider this one to be angsty at all. It's simply a touching story about two people who are lost, finding a way to each other as well as finding their place in this world. 

It's been a few months since I read "The Winslow Brothers" the second part of the "Blueberry Lane" series and so I really enjoyed getting back. Also meeting a few of the characters from the previous installments. It's not necessary to start at the beginning to enjoy this book though, "The Rousseaus" is a (sub)series standing on it's own. But I DO recommend ALL of them. Like this one, they are rather short sweet romance novels that leaves you with a smile on your face. 

Campaigning for Christopher (The Winslow Brothers #4) [Christopher & Julianne] by Katy Regnery

THIS is my favorite Winslow book :) I had a feeling it's going this way quite early and considering how much I LOVED Preston and Elise's book (yeah will all the times I was annoyed as HELL included! hehe) that's saying something. In a way there are similarities between the two, but as two different characters in the book say at certain points what Elise did is NOTHING like what Julianne did and yet the thing that IS similar is her need to make amends and how sweetly and beautifully she does exactly that. 

While Christoper have been mean to Julianne quite a lot I think his behavior could totally be understood especially when you read his inner turmoil. It's one thing to hate someone who hurt you BADLY, it's a totally another deal when she won't go away but while she is doing the best that she can to make amends he is distracted but how much he is attracted to her, knowing trusting her is NOT possible, and it certainly doesn't help that while getting to know her he liked EVERYTHING about her.. For Julianne it's the same, or maybe worse? She hurt him badly and she needed to make amends and so she is at his disposal until election day, posing as his girlfriend. Trouble is, as SHE gets to know HIM, she loves everything about him as well and knowing he won't ever trust her while she is falling for him, knowing in weeks he will be gone from her life, is making her miserable. 

Crazy about Cameron (The Winslow Brothers #3) [Cameron & Margaret] by Katy Regnery

This was a fun sweet read. I enjoyed meeting both Margaret and Cameron and loved getting a taste of the Story family (Margaret naturally but also one of her 5 sisters - Priscilla). The family situation there seems tense.. so I'm happy it worked out so beautifully for Margaret, getting her heart's desire not only with Cameron but also with her dream occupation - building her own winery. Cameron is in a different yet similar place in life, he is unhappy with his work and even though he CRAVES Margaret and have been for most of his life, with how much is work is costing him (time wise) there is no way he can commit to anything more, especially not a relationship that will surely suffer from his demanding company. 

Proposing to Preston (The Winslow Brothers #2) [Preston & Elise] by Katy Regnery

Well, this book brought out so much out of me! I was agitated, I was mad, I was annoyed and most of it because Preston is SUCH an amazing guy, and through the synopsis I could just imagine how much Elise is going to hurt him and so every word, every step, I was cringing inside, feeling as though she doesn't deserve him with her self doubts and tendency to RUN. But what kept me going and what made this book so amazing was how HUMAN she felt. She made a LOT of mistakes, not only where Preston concerned, and considering how difficult her life have been, I mostly feel sad for her, and TOTALLY get all her actions. I couldn't and wouldn't hate her for her actions, each and everyone of them was her trying to find herself, her place in this world. She truly didn't mean to hurt Preston and even he at a certain point got her action and realized he could have played things differently himself if he was aware of her fears and worries. The whole story was heart breakingly beautiful, so touching and sweet on the one hand and on the other, sad and almost hopeless (for them, we, as the readers had the privilege of knowing they never forgot each other). 

Bidding on Brooks (The Winslow Brothers #1) [Brooks & Skye] by Katy Regnery

This was a really sweet story, enjoyed getting to know the Winslow brothers a little bit better after reading of Jessica in "The English Brothers" (Anyone But Alex, #3). Brooks and Skye's romance was as slow as it was fast, they knew each others for 20 years, but they were just friends, until Skye accepted his request to bid on him (with his money..) so he won't have to sail with someone he has no wish to entertain. After the first spark in which Brook finally sees Skye as a woman (and not just his mechanic in overalls..) love blossoms pretty fast. In my mind it was very believable considering they knew each other for such a long while they just never thought of more for a lot of reasons. I gotta say, it was pretty predictable, and I didn't really like the final twist in the story and yet I had fun reading this one so I'm not really complaining. 

Marrying Mr. English Part 1+2 (Blueberry Lane 1 - The English Brothers #7) [Tom & Eleanora] by Katy Regnery

Okay, lets start with the most important news - This book is NOT in fact Part 2 of Eleanora and Tom's love story, it's the COMPLETE novella - part 1 + part 2. When I opened this book yesterday and realized I STRUGGLED though the disappointing "12 Christmas Romances to Melt Your Heart" Anthology containing the first part of this story, only to realize I already had it on my kindle in this version I was seeing RED! then I calmed myself, went back to my bed, opened my kindle and delved into the story (from about the third mark were the second part starts). Eleanora and Tom went through quite a lot in their first few months together, which made both of them grow up and be sure of what and who they wanted in their lives.

12 Christmas Romances To Melt Your Heart by Catherine Gayle, Jami Davenport, Riley J. Ford, Emma Roman, Allie K. Adams, Geri Foster, Tammy Falkner, Tawdra Kandle, Chris Keniston, Katy Regnery, Becca Boyd & Jodi Vaughn

This Anthology is different than the usual I tend to grab, but since I REALLY wanted to read Katy Regnery's novella I "had no choice" but to grab it even though ALL the short novellas in this one are a part of a series. The only way I can describe this Anthology is a HUGE disappointment. I had a few DNFs and mostly I rated these between 1-2 stars.

I started writing individual reviews, but as I continued on reading and was annoyed with most of what I read, I decided bashing everything ISN'T the way I want to go.. So I'm rating (without review) the ones I wasn't impressed with, while writing a positive review to the ones I DID like. 

Kiss Me Kate (The English Brothers #6) [Kate & Etienne] by Katy Regnery

I was really nervous about this one.. also I had a few rough days so sitting down, being relaxed enough to read was also a struggle and as I finally sat and started reading I realized this is NOT what I feared it would be :) 

Like the first three in the series this one is also a rekindled love story. Kate and Etienne had a summer fling (much like Fitz and Daisy) but it ended badly for both of them even though it wasn't for the SAME reasons. We get glimpses into the past, when they were 15 years old along with the "real time" plot line which was sweet. 

Wild About Weston (The English Brothers #5) [Weston & Molly] by Katy Regnery

Weston, Weston.. sweet, tender, warm hearted and yeah, has the tendency to punch guys in the face at times hehe Really enjoyed this one! Gotta say I WAS considering which is my absolute favorite - him or Stratton, but as it seems Stratton is going to stay my favorite book boyfriend :) and yet, this story was really special. Though the story only spans less than two days, we get a love story I could totally believe. A bit instant love-y I guess, and yeah it was a Happy For Now because of the short time they know each other but I really liked the buildup of their "relationship" or rather how they got closer and closer to one another. 

The English Brothers Boxed Set, Books #1-4 (The English Brothers #1-4) by Katy Regnery

Though I've recently uploaded my reviews of the first 4 books in the "Blueberry 1 - The English Brothers" as stand alone novels, I'm actually a cheat ;) I bought them in this set but thought it would be better to have an individual review for each.

Seduced by Stratton (The English Brothers #4) [Stratton & Val] by Katy Regnery

Oh MY! This one was PERFECT! I KNEW I'm totally going to fall for Stratton and I was SO right. I guess the confident, alpha type is what usually attracts others in a hero, but for me, someone like Stratton is much more real, much more interesting to see evolve. How someone shy, insecure in a way, awkward and yet gorgeous and talented finds his HEA with someone who understand him and doesn't expect him to change, on the contrary - appreciates who he is even when he says and does things that might make other people, mostly women, cringe :) 

Anyone but Alex (The English Brothers #3) [Alex & Jessica] by Katy Regnery

Another sweet installment in the English Brothers series. I gotta say I just love ALL brothers, naturally Alex included ;) It's so much fun seeing each of the brothers getting his HEA as well as seeing the interaction between the brothers, each being a bit different yet they are all the same when it comes to supporting each other. Like the previous installments this is also a re-kindled love story, but more like Barrett's than Fitz's in the sense that Alex and Jessie's love story started when he was there for her when she was a kid, growing up in the house next door and dealing with her father's death. 

Falling for Fitz (The English Brothers #2) [Fitz & Daisy] by Katy Regnery

Another sweet installment, really enjoyed this one. Like the previous one it's a sort of rekindled love, I guess even more than the previous one because Emily and Barrett were never a couple, while Fitz and Daisy had a past as a couple even if for just a brief summer. 

Breaking Up with Barrett (The English Brothers #1) [Barrett & Emily] by Katy Regnery

I really enjoyed this sweet short romance between Barrett English and Emily Edwards. Barrett and Emily have known each other their whole life, which made the relationship buildup quicker in pace. In a way, I thought there wasn't enough "conflicts" between the two, only one at the end which resolved very quickly. It was more them finding how much they feel about each other and accepting one another as their lover even though they come from totally different worlds.
