At the beginning of October I "lost" my Kindle Voyage. I feel a bit better saying "I lost it" instead of the truth - it was stolen from me with a bunch of other stuff. It was the thing I had the hardest time replacing - technically and mentally. It felt like losing a bit of myself - my comfort - when I needed it most.
I was actually contemplating replacing it, not for any particular reason.. It was working fine after 4 years of constant use. It wasn't a "done deal" but it became one when my precious was no longer here...
I've researched the current devices - on Amazon, Kobo and even ventured into the new color devices. After reading / watching quite a bit of reviews I decided on the Boox Nova 3 Color.
The reviews were raving, mostly about the innovation but the performance as well. Yeah, the (color) hardware wasn't the best, but the software compensates. So I ordered it and waited, and waited, and waited. It took a whole month but it finally got here! I only managed to read 2 books in between as I simply couldn't make myself read on my phone (or any other LCD screen). But when the device finally arrived I was more than disappointed.
This is NO kindle.
