This story was simply ADORABLE, even though it was also quite strange. I LOVED IT! It's a different modern re-telling of Cinderella and though it's very different than our usual story it's also the closest I've read to the original while still being modern at the same time. Confused? sorry about that hehe

Ash (our modern Cinderella) was only 18 years old to Ty's 16 when he took him in and helped him in his own way to independence. They stayed together for the past 3 years but while Ash kept his lifestyle, Ty wanted more and so he started studying in the nearby community college. It's hard to say if Ash is jealous, he is mostly sad Ty feels more far away and out of reach. It won't be long until he won't be enough for Ty or Ty would start feeling ashamed of his friendship with him, after all, he is basically a prostitute..

Forever Moore (Forbidden Love #2) [Ansil & Orien] by Riley Hart & Christina Lee

OUTSTANDING! Christina and Riley DEFINITELY did it again! I LOVED Ansil and Orien in this retelling of "Snow White". It's a fantasy world, but unlike the original story, there is no magic - yet all the elements are there, entwined in a beautiful heart felt story of two men who couldn't be more suited for one another. Meeting each other, spending time together, Ansil and Orien both change for the better. They learn more about themselves than they knew before and with all the complications they manage to plan a future together so different than they would have imagined for themselves.

Lord Ansil Eirwin is 20 years old, in less than a year he will be proclaimed the Duke of Ravenswood. His life up until now have been quite sheltered. His mother have been the regent for the past few years even since his father died and so he was mostly free to pursue his interests. Ansil's mother didn't stay single, she married Reginald Moore hoping to bring more balance into their lives. Yet Reginald isn't who she thought and he has his own plans..

Before Midnight (Blood Prince, #1) [Etienne & Loupe] by Jennifer Blackstream

I have to say that though I decided to let this one go at 37% it really is about taste. I thought all characters were kinda childish and the synopsis unlikely (even for PNR). I don't know really, I couldn't connect with either character and I think you have to really be in a fairy-tale mood to enjoy this one because it truly FEELS like one, with the characters being naive and old fashioned.

This book is a "recreation" of Cinderella who is named in this one - Loupe (yep, a VERY unoriginal name). Her evil stepmother and 2 stepsisters treats her badly and keep her busy yet she still manages to enjoy at least one thing - taking care of 3 little wolf pups she hides in the forest near by. Her kinship with wolves started after she got bitten by a werewolf. Now she is a wolf when the full moon rises...

Ever After (Forbidden Love #1) [Merrick & Cassius] by Riley Hart & Christina Lee

I LOVED this one, thought it broke my heart to pieces too many times to count. This love story was SO beautiful and endearing and yet there was so much sorrow with two men who are destined to remain apart not only because of their difference in station but mostly because the combination of that with them being gay. 

The feel of the story was simply incredible. I labeled this one "Contemporary" but it's not. It's a Fairy-Tale without the "magic" part or rather it's a timeless romance novel. There are things that might be considered "modern" but maybe not so much, there are things that are "missing" from modern times but they didn't feel necessary or even relevant. It really gave the whole story a special vibe that made it about the story, the couple, and not specifically of a time and place, which also made it more relate-able. It's not JUST a fairy tale, it's a story that happens and happened before and possible would keep on happening (until we evolve past labels and positions, hopefully..).

Truth in the Dark by Amy Lane

This book certainly deserves 5 stars. Well, maybe even 6 for the cool concept of this novel and how it was concluded. Yet I was still annoyed with the banter between the MC or rather just how "rough around the edges" Naef / Knife was. Which is why I HAVE to somehow reduce my rating. 

Lets start at the beginning. This story is a sort of fairy tale combining "The Beast" (from "Beauty and the Beast") and well, "The Hunchback of Notredam" in the MM version.. It was GENIUS. 

When The Sea and The Sky Turn To Blood by Amy Lane

This short sweet and a bit sad tale is an allegory of accepting others, of being human, showing love and compassion. I just write a few reviews ago that a story so short (less than 20 pages) is very problematic in giving a whole story. Well, I take it back.
