Last Call (Heartsville, #1) [Quinn, Gray & Emery] by Felice Stevens & Christina Lee

I"m not sure what exactly I was expecting but it wasn't OMG SWEETNESS! I guess Menage comes with a prejudice (though I've read a few which I really enjoyed and weren't focused on sex..). This story is all about tenderness, love and companionship, in a way everything I expect and want to read in a romance novel only not in a couple, in three beautiful, sweet guys who deserve so much more than the hands they were dealt growing up.

Quinn Monahan and Grayson Page are best friends. They have been for years since they were teenagers, each struggling with his own issues. Gray coming from a poor dysfunctioning family and Quinn from a very privileged yet cold and uncaring family. They have been managing for a few years now their own bar called "Last Call" in the small town of Heartsville. Things are going wonderfully. They get along great, as usual, living together yet apart in the apartment above the bar, maintaining their close yet platonic relationship.

Hammer & Air by Amy Lane

I didn't have patience for this one at all. The language was strange so it was difficult to read at times, our MC Eirn tells us his and his best friend Graeme story. Their lives was pretty horrible even if he just told it "as is" (I guess because that was just life for them).

Eirn's thoughts are consumed by Graeme or as nicknamed - "Hammer", mostly on the sexual side. Up till where I got (25%) it was about 90% sex thoughts or acts with A LOT of possessiveness from Hammer's side.  This one feels more like an Erotica (PNR?) novel. I"m not even sure how old they are because as Eirn tells it, he runs a bit from past to present and he sounds a bit "childish" to me.

What Matters by Gracie Leigh

I didn't expect any less from Garrett, or in this case Gracie :) I COULDN'T put it down, it was BEAUTIFUL, though naturally HIGHLY emotional - wanted to smack both MCs in the head too many times to count but I still LOVED it to pieces. So it's a girl meets a boy, not Garrett's usual boy meets boy, for me, it made no difference I loved it nevertheless and besides we DO get one scorching HOT scene with another guy so.. yeah..

Dark Soul, Volume III by Aleksandr Voinov

What can I say about the final installment.. It was as good as the previous ones were which means - AMAZING and impossible to put aside and in a way bittersweet because decisions had to be made.
It brought Stefano into a very difficult situation with the authorities, and one particular vicious man - Sebastiano Beccaria who is actually Franco and Silvio's older brother. He might be on the different side of the law but he is a killer in his own way and getting his view totally showed that.

Ready and Willing by Cara McKenna

Very engaging, steamy (!) and somehow very sweet short novella. It's another novella I had my "doubts" about which were TOTALLY unfounded. I really enjoyed this one, especially the way it was concluded, the whole feel of it. I'm not a holiday person but if YOU are, read this on Christmas or whenever you feel festive :)

Tristan & Jared (Market Garden #1, #2, #6) by L.A. Witt & Aleksandr Voinov

The last I've read by Aleksandr Voinov and L.A. Witt was "Hostile Ground" which was an AMAZING novel but it wasn't the first.. First one being "Unhinge the Universe" which also left a huge impression on me and helped made the MM Romance genre one of my favorites.

Yet I wasn't sure what to expect from these short novellas.. Since both Jared and Tristan work as rent boys at "Market Garden" a club catering sex in any way the customer is willing to pay, I wasn't sure if we'll be getting a story and not just sex. But actually even though most of it WAS sex, the interaction between Jared an Tristan was beautifully done, giving us both their POVs yet concealing from each other their true wants and needs and by that only getting under each other's skin even more until there are decision to be made. I really enjoyed all three novellas. It was hot as hell yet we did got enough of a story in there.

Misfits (Urban Soul, #1) [Tom & Cass & Jake] by Garrett Leigh

This was was such a beautiful sensitive love story. I must admit, I"m not usually into menage, even though I had another menage mini-series this month (Shivaree by Cara McKenna). I'm usually annoyed by the fact that most feel as though the plot is a side excuse for endless sex scenes. It's so NOT the case here. Even though it was hard for me to understand at certain points, in the end I got what brought the three of them and what made them so perfect together.

Getaway (Shivaree #2) by Cara McKenna

A nice ending to the series or rather love story. I can't say I loved it, it was okay.. I think it's a more rounded to 4 stars than a "real" 4 star rating. I really loved how it worked out, I liked the tender moments (was HIGHLY annoyed with how dysfunctional Shane and Gabriel are most of the time..) and though I had my problems with Shane (right from the beginning) this short novella has a plot that continues the journey Shane started on in the first installment or rather the prequel when he met Gabriel.

Shivaree (Shivaree #1) by Cara McKenna

Another mesmerizing installment. It's strange, when I think about the characters in this one, the general plot, what happens and the interaction between all of them it's hard for me to pinpoint what I actually liked so much or rather why I didn't dislike the whole of it. But the fact it, like the previous one, there was something very different and intriguing that makes this Erotica novella a lot more than just hot sex (which there was quite a lot of but not too overpowering in my opinion).

Beyond Possession (Beyond #5.5) [Zan & Tatiana Stone] by Kit Rocha

This was good! really enjoyed it! I think I liked it even better for not being so much about the sex or maybe for not having so many sex scenes and actually being about the heroine and what she wants in / from life.

Tatiana Stone had a good life growing up, well, others might think that as she was the daughter of the previous ruler of Section 4 before Dallas put him down. He was a ruthless tyrant and taking him out has been a good thing for the sector but not so good for her and her little sister. While she has nothing against the O'Kane's she is scared of lifting her head too high. Especially now that her sister is in a relationship with someone who opposes Dallas. It's even more complicated as she KNOWS that the guy who opposes the O'Kanes isn't really into her sister he just uses the "image" of the daughter of the previous ruler. She is scared shitless of what's going to happen but she isn't willing to bind herself to the O'Kanes and be a kept woman or side with a person she hates and endangers her sister.

Beyond Addiction (Beyond #5) [Finn & Trix] by Kit Rocha

I'm not sure what went wrong in this one, but something did.. I just didn't find myself captivated by it, almost till the action in the end and I should say that most of what happened there was really predictable so I couldn't enjoy it as much as I wanted. I liked both Trix and Finn, I think I liked him better than I liked her. I think it's something to do with the fact that her personality wasn't clear enough for me. I got that she loves him, she loved him in the past but there was something missing, like in the first books in the series when the characters didn't feel developed enough and since the plot line wasn't that engaging I just felt it was sadly quite lacking..

Beyond Solitude (Beyond #4.5) [Derek Ford & MIa] by Kit Rocha

This one was published as a part of "Alphas After Dark" an anthology containing 9 short stories. I only read this one. I can't invest myself with more series at the moment, nothing personal here.. It takes place somewhere around book 4 not after it. If you read the last one (especially the last chapter) you'll get why it's not possible it took place AFTER it.

and oh! I guess is you haven't read the previous ones it doesn't matter. You can just jump into it and see what you feel about the world. You'll meet some of the people in the previous books but it doesn't really matter since there aren't any spoilers to the plot itself (and since there isn't a lot of it anyway.. :P)

Beyond Jealousy (Beyond #4) [Ace, Cruz & Rachel] by Kit Rocha

Well, this book was something else! it took me forever to read for all the reasons except for not enjoying reading it. I just had a lot to do and I went abroad for 4 days and I don't know if I read a whole 15 minutes in total! my friend wasn't into reading and our internet connection was barely there so it was all me and her having a relaxing vocation doing what we wanted (=a lot of shopping!) and not thinking too much about anything. Just like a real vocation should be!

Beyond Temptation (Beyond #3.5) [Noah & Emma] by Kit Rocha

This novella is the story of 2 characters we got to meet in the previous book but actually we only got a small glimpse of - Emma (or in her full name - Emmaline Cibulski) - Ace's apprentice and Noah Lennox the guy who can hack anything and get any information anyone needs - or as it seems now - the information Dallas needs.

Beyond Pain (Beyond #3) [Bren & Six] by Kit Rocha

It's quite strange.. the first book I liked - it was different, it had a different vibe than I'm used to, and even though I had my misgivings about it, I did enjoy it (and gave it 4 stars). Then came the second which I absolutely hated. I didn't like the characters (or how they "played out") I didn't like the fact that we didn't get enough background story to support the character and didn't understand the appeal of the main hero (I still don't..) but I still felt I wanted to give the rest a go since I liked Bren and Six and wanted to get their story and also there's Rachel and Ace (next one) that I'm interested in so I thought I should put my dislike of the previous one aside and just delve into this one.

I'm SO glad I didn't miss on this one! It was well written in the aspect of characters' build, we got their back story (not to full extent but much better than the previous ones), I could understand their motives, could understand their attraction to one another and how / why it worked so well between them and I could see the development of both characters throughout the book.

Beyond Denial (Beyond #2.5) [Jared & Ace] by Kit Rocha

A short scene from the second book "Beyond Control", taking place in the party where Dallas interviews the guys from sector 3.

We get to see Ace succumb to his desire to Rachel, not with her but with Jared the whore.

Beyond Control (Beyond #2) [Dallas & Lex] by Kit Rocha

I'm disappointed.. this book took me forever (!) to read simply because I felt it could have been so much more.. I kept waiting for it to get BETTER but in the end, and literally in the end I was just disappointed (all over again...)

Lex could be so much more, Dallas SHOULD have been so much more and the other characters? I want them to be complex, to have a lot to them, things we would discover in time, things that will change what I think of them or make me like them more than I do. But sadly I feel that the characters aren't developed enough..

Beyond Shame (Beyond #1) [Jasper & Noel] by Kit Rocha

I was quite sure I'm going to hate this book, maybe even hate with a vengeance or just find it totally and absolutely repulsive.. but I got a REALLY good recommendation for it so I simply had to give it a go.. So after reading a lot of horrible reviews (and some good ones...) and after postponing it for nearly a year I decided it's time to check this one out for myself.

I'll start with what I was afraid this is going to be - a very long, very detailed, provocative, kinky, BDSM sex scene.. :D and to top it off, this one is Dystopia. I don't usually like reading the end of days kinda books. I don't mind reading near future Paranormal or current Paranormal but real world (I mean, people no supernatural beings) in the future in which all society as we know it is ruined? naaaa... I was never into those, not even in movies though there are A LOT of those.
So as you can see, I had my reasons for not wanting to ever try reading it.. But my friend kept on asking me - WHEN WHEN - so finally I said to myself, well, yeah, lets do this. If I don't like it I can always put it down saying I tried..
