A Fool and His Manny (The Mannies #4) [Quinlan & Dustin] by Amy Lane

WOW, this book was simply AMAZING, but it was also heart breaking. I had to hold my hand to my chest to keep my heart either in place or intact.. Quin and Dustin broke my heart time and time again, mostly Quin. Sad, lonely, quiet Quinlan who is all alone in the world even when he is surrounded by the family he wished was his (and little by little BECAME his).

The Robbins-Graysons have A LOT of kids, 6 to be exact. we've met all of them before in the previous installments. Truth being said, I'm not a fan of kids in books but it this series it somehow works though I feel like if I was actually THERE I would get dizzy in one second and just collapse. I think that's what Quinlan Gregory thought when he saw the lot of them at a family wedding he was invited to by his friend Sammy. Sammy thought maybe Quin would consider being the manny now that the "old one" is getting married.. At first Quin was terrified, but somehow he thought staying so close to Sammy, one of the few people in his life, would be a good idea so he stays though he keeps mostly to himself and doesn't truly "mingle" with the family. He doesn't feel like he has a place in one. It didn't work with HIS family, so he won't even think of taking this one for his own, though in his heart it's all he can wish for.

Stand by Your Manny (The Mannies #3) [Sammy & Cooper] by Amy Lane

It's been a while since I've read the first book in the series of Tino and Channing and I truly missed them. To get them as the PARENTS was actually great. It was obvious they are an established couple and though they might have their diffrences, I enjoyed seeing these as well. But this story isn't about them, it's about Sammy - Channing's nephew, the one he found himself taking care of when Sammy's mother died 15 years ago.

Sammy Lowell grew up to be a sweet and endearing guy. He LOVES his big family, even if most of them aren't related by blood (or at all) to him.. But never mind, for him it's the opportunity of spending time with so many people he cares about. Channing and Tino truly raised a kid with a heart of gold. Though he isn't a kid anymore.. he is 21 years old and a VERY talented musician looking to explore his abilities as a teacher but also as a performer.

Manny Get Your Guy (The Mannies #2) [Taylor & Brandon] by Amy Lane

I don't really know what to say, somehow though I rooted for these two I had a hard time with the way the relationship progressed. Taylor and Brandon started hating each other on sight, though both felt the desire under the surface, in a day flat, when Brandon realizes he's being a douche he more than apologizes, he grabs Taylor for the taking and he won't take no for an answer.

We've met most of the characters in this one in the previous installment. Taylor was Nica's best friend, the one she wanted so much more with but realized too late that though they ARE best friends, they could never be more because Taylor is absolutely and totally gay. Heart broken she falls into Jacob's arms and now, 10 years later they are about to have their 5th kid. That's A LOT - even they realize it so they ask for Taylor's help in being the Manny - like Tino, Nica's brother was to Channing. Don't worry we meet these two as well as Sammy.

The Virgin Manny (The Mannies, #1) [Tino & Channing] by Amy Lane

~sigh~ the sweetness! This book was EXACTLY what I wanted it to be. It's the sort of low angst, endearing, comfort read we all need at times. I was so frustrated with myself and my previous read, and frankly I had so much angst lately in my personal life this one was the medicine I needed. I gotta say though, I'm surprised it somehow sneaked up on me! I"m not sure how I just found out about it, but at least I'm updated on the next one to come on July.
