Though this wasn't long it gave us a whole story with A LOT of characters. It was a sweet funny easy going read mostly. The sort best read on vocation. I enjoyed all friends to family who surround Trip. They were quite endearing together. A great start to a series!
Tristan "Trip" Hagan is an Alpha Husky shifter, but he gave his right to rule to his younger brother since he wasn't interested in ruling when it means he needs to leave who he is behind as well as his true mate who is an Enforcer (a half breed). It's not enough he is gay he is also in love with someone his family consider to be "beneath" them. Trip would rather leave it all behind and live his peaceful life having his love - Boone Devin - by his side even if they can't truly together.
There's quite an intricate story in this one which include Trip's ex-wife Brook (he was forced to marry to ensure the continuation of the family's Alpha line), their son Robbie, his ex's husband Deacon as well as Boone's younger brother Hunter which together are Trip's protectors. All these happy fellas and gal are there for one another through thick and thin with Robbie having a big place in moving the plot along. He was sweet and cute. I'm usually not a fan of kids in books but he was sweet enough and it especially worked with all the not so grown ups around him who acted as silly as the 7 year old hehe.
This book was originally published as a part of "Love Has No Boundaries" of the M/M Romance Group in GoodReads [download it for free from the link bellow]. It's obvious from the way the novella progressed, the amount of people we got to know and the ending it's going to turn into a series which I'm ALL about.
Yep, totally enjoyed this fun novella! also if you want a little bit more of Trip and Boone being their own adorable selves read "The Perfect Valentine's Day" (also a free read)
