Tease Me (#gaymers #3.6) [Ryan & Josiah] by Annabeth Albert

This was a short kinky little read and though it was about the sex, it was actually about a lot more. Ryan and Josiah love each other, they are happy, they enjoy their lives together and excited to be married soon, yet they both are dealing with stuff and sex - especially the kinky kind - was exactly the relief they both needed.

There was something interesting about Josiah needed to just LET GO, while Ryan needing CONTROL not as a permanent thing, but as a way to unwind. It was great seeing these two together, how they get each other, are there for one another, for not just he sexy times, but for making it easier, better. Josiah's idea for a "casual" wedding showed EXACTLY that.

New in Town (Out of Uniform) [Alex & Marco] by Annabeth Albert

This was a short sweet read. I would have liked to get a bit more of Alex and Marco and yet I still feel like I got a treat with the little glimpses into a few of the characters from other "Out of Uniform" books.

Alex Odell-Correa and Marco Correa are moving together with their two kids to San Diego. It's not an easy move for them, considering all their memories together are going to stay so far away in the East Coast. Yet being married to a Marine means sometimes you need to move where the military needs you and Marco is needed with his service dog with out favorite unit.

Rough Terrain (Out of Uniform #7) [Renzo & Canaan] by Annabeth Albert

A beautiful finish to the series. I'm going to miss all of these guys so much! Renzo and Canaan's story was in so many ways tender. You'd think Renzo is the "tough gay" but he isn't really. Canaan is the only one who actually SEES Renzo. The little we've read of Canaan before (in Ben and Maddox' book) he is mainly a big flirt, but there is so much more to him than what we've seen. Yeah, he is FUN and easy going, but he is also a great friend and lover to Renzo.

Lorenzo Bianchi is exactly the kind of HOT SEAL to dream about with the amazing body and the Instagram account which shows him at his best doing rigorous workouts. So on screen he might be a kind of a "Rooster" (like his teammates call him), but in real life especially in relationships he can be quite shy and insecure. The amount of pressure he is on daily is heart breaking. Renzo strives to be THE BEST all the time. His family might act like he is enough but the guilt he carries says otherwise. When Canaan offers they "get into trouble" together he goes for it. He needs the distraction. Especially after a talk to his LT about his request for transfer to the east coast (where his family lives). He wants to be closer to his family but it also means being close to the people who suppose to love him as he is but worship the hero they built in their minds.

Tight Quarters (Out of Uniform #6) [Del & Spencer] by Annabeth Albert

I don't really know why and how but this one didn't grab me as the the other ones in the series did. I liked Bacon in the last two installment, and I really wanted him to get his own HEA and stop looking so pained when he saw all the happy couples around him. Yeah he was the best supportive friend but he was also wishing he could have his own love story he SO deserves.

Delbert Lawrence Bacon, or as most of everyone calls him, Bacon is a great team mate, a great friend really, but though he gives his heart out to everyone around him, he has a hard time opening up. Firstly for being Pansexual and second finding someone to entrust his heart. He can't stand the negative vibe on his team after Dustin and Wes left (the MCs from the 4th installment "Wheels Up"), the rumors about them in general and their (gay) sexuality. That's the worst time to open up and share his own. But with everyone coupling around him he feels like it's time, only why stir the boat when there is no one actually THERE.

Squared Away (Out of Uniform #5) [Mark & Isaiah] by Annabeth Albert

This is absolutely my FAVORITE in the series. I LOVED both Mark and Isaiah, and though they seem so different, they have many things in common. So it's not wonder they worked PERFECTLY together. In the end it's  just about trust, but it's never that simple, isn't it?

Mark Whitley and Isaiah James met at a family wedding, when Danielle (Mark's sister) was marrying Cal (Isaiah cousin, though they are more like brothers). Mark was already a big hot SEAL when Isaiah was a 18 years old who wanted to swallow the world (or just get into Mark's pants..). Mark seemed interested yet he rejected Isaiah and from there they mostly ignored one another..

Wheels Up (Out of Uniform #4) [Dustin & Wes] by Annabeth Albert

I wanted to love this book, as much as I LOVED the other ones in the series and other books I've read by Annabeth, but this one just rubbed me the wrong way. I just couldn't stand Dustin and Wes' dynamics. While I got why Dustin was insecure about a relationship with Wes, his behavior just didn't work for me considering who he is, and his position. I get that some people enjoy being dominated, but somehow his TOTAL submissiveness even when on uniform felt off. How did he get to his current position with him being unable to stand up for himself about ANYTHING.

We've already met Dustin Strauss in the first installment where his little brother Dylan got together with his best friend Apollo. Dustin has known he is bi-sexual for years but he wasn't ready to out himself as one, still isn't. Finding himself talking to a guy on an app made things feel more real. He enjoyed their interaction the sexual one, sure, but also their friendship. When they have an opportunity to actually MEET in person they go for it even if both are rather reluctant. Once they meet they wish they could have more but since they live in the opposite coasts how could it work out? Also there are far too many secrets between them. Mainly one - the are both SEALs.

On Point (Out of Uniform #3) [Maddox & Ben] by Annabeth Albert

I couldn't put this book down. Just COULDN'T. It was SO beautiful I don't think I could possibly have the right words to describe it so if I have to sum it up let's go with - A MUST READ. I DO recommend you start with the first book in the series - it's going to be worth it! - but in a way you don't have to. Because this book is mostly about Maddox and Ben, Ben and Maddox and their "not relationship relationship" as their friend Apollo calls it.

So we've already met these two. Best friends. Living together. Serving in the same SEAL team. Have been unseparated since they first joined the army. But things have changed recently and even their friends have realized there is something different. They made a mistake, two actually, and these two prevents them from going back to the way they used to be - just friends.

I Do (Out of Uniform #2.5) [Apollo & Dylan] by Annabeth Albert

A short sweet novella of Apollo and Dylan getting married. It's been a few months since the last installment, Dylan and Apollo are happy together, planning their wedding and enjoying life together, only Apollo is worried and having a hard time dealing with his fear which has nothing to do with a life with Dylan and everything to do with his back pain and the meaning behind it.

At Attention (Out of Uniform #2) [Apollo & Dylan] by Annabeth Albert

~sigh~ This book was just PERFECT, even when I was the most frustrated about Apollo or when two kids took a bit more space than I'm used to in a romance novel I was just LOVING every second of it. Dylan is truly a DREAM of a guy, I think I generally don't think ANYONE could ask for more. He was sweet and gentle, he was fun and adventures yet he knew when to be serious. He gave his heart away and was still patient Apollo would eventually give him his in return. He was naive, he was brave. He was EVERYTHING. Apollo won the biggest lottery in life. I truly envy Apollo, even if he's a fictional character hehe

Apollo Floros believed a few years ago he is Blessed. He was married to Neal whom he loved dearly, they were happy, they had supportive families and friends and they even got two sweet little girls through a surrogate. Yet Apollo stopped feeling Blessed when Neal died, leaving him in a big house with two little girls and ENDLESS memories of what they USED to have. It's been two years, Chloe and Sophia are already 5 years old, but Apollo still wears his wedding ring and aches about everything he has lost.

Off Leash (Out of Uniform #1.6) [Zack & Pike] by Annabeth Albert

Wow this one was HOT!!!! While Zack and Pike are definitely more than comfortable together, spending a weekend - their honeymoon really - on Pride made all the difference, it gave them the time to talk but also experience things they haven't before.

Homecoming (Out of Uniform #1.5) [Zack & Pike] by Annabeth Albert

This short novella was the sweetest thing! Not that's I'm surprised with how CUTE Zack and Pike are together.. In this one Zack is returning home from a short deployment and naturally can't wait to see Pike. Pike is also VERY excited about Zack returning home especially with the surprise he has for him!

Off Base (Out of Uniform #1) [Zack & Pike] by Annabeth Albert

I've read this one literally in one sitting and if it's not obvious I LOVED it. While I wasn't sure where it was going from the start it didn't take me long to get HOOKED UP and not wanting to let this one go until I could feel their HEA in my bones. It took time but it was SO worth it!

Pike Reynolds is out and proud, he wouldn't even know the inside of a closet if someone showed him one. Though he did have a very bad experience with a "straight but curious" friend who made him vow not to get with anyone who doesn't know who he is and what he wants. It's not like he's looking for a serious relationship, but he still wants things to be very clear.

When he first saw Zack Nelson he had a hard time picking his tongue off the floor but seeing him again after he finished his Navy SEAL training made him even more yummy if that's even possible, trouble is Zack is EXACTLY the kind of guy he won't get involved with - someone who isn't even sure he is curious, with eyes that TOTALLY show his longing to something he isn't even able to articulate. Pike might enjoy looking but touching - NO WAY. Not with THIS confused guy! and it's not like Zack is interested in HIM, he barely tolerates him.. But after a drunk night together and getting to know his cats something might have changed between them.
