What a rush! Edward Dinges was just a regular guy yet getting outed as The Mad Bombardier's accomplice changed everything. He might have been experimented on for a few minutes, but it was enough to make him a Super or rather a Villain. We start this novella with Edward planning his first "job" breaking into the bank he used to work for - It's time he shows Raul his worth.
Yet things don't go as plan, not in the bank and not when Raul isn't the one to rescue him. Turns out someone captured Raul Tremblay and he plans on using Edward's "Reverse Empath" abilities to do his bidding before (or maybe if..) he hands him back. Though Edward SEEMS to be very complaint with Maggot - the big Villain boss! - his mind is always working on his possible next step (same as Raul - plan for the worst, hope for the best!).
In the end he not only rescued Raul he earned himself a Villain name - with a double meaning! He has earned more than just a nickname but the trust and belief of others who are willing to make a change in the crooked Panopolis in which both Villains and Heroes are playing a game they did not CHOSE to play, some are mere puppets - like the Heroes by the medical company who made them, and others who are "unwanted" become Villains who needs to find their own way to survive.
What will Edward and Raul do now when they've got so many others' attention? That's something I can't wait to read in the last installment! I'm LOVING this series. It's not my usual read for sure but I'm totally HOOKED!

ABOUT THIS SERIES
Panopolis is a Paranormal Series by Cari Z. It
contains three parts, two short one and the 3rd a full length novel.
The first two are novellas, telling us the story of Edward Dinges and
his lover Raul Tremblay who is actually a Villain called "The Mad
Bombardier" in a city full of Heroes and Villains. The last is a full
length novel of Craig Haney (aka "Freight Train"), a Hero we've met in
the previous installments.
Don't expect either Hero nor Villain to be what you'd expect them to be and look for the hidden reasoning for WHY this city is so special.. Yes, there are people behind the amount of Heroes and Villains and the treatment BOTH are getting though very different is still not truly beneficial for both parties.
It's up to the "Good Guys" - Heroes, Villains, regular Joes to bring the evil down and make Panopolis a city for all it's citizens.
This series was simply SUPERB. I enjoyed it SO MUCH. All three installment were extremely engaging. I loved the setting, world building and the way the story progressed. There's a lot of action but within it there are still two sweet love stories.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
