Ethaniel Rhodes is new in Cathia College, it's his first day and he has a few more firsts on his list. Growing up in a small town with VERY conservative parents, going to a college 1500 miles away with a full scholarship means he can actually never look back. It's a great feeling but also a very difficult one. I was heart broken for Ethaniel and how miserable his life have been.
But now there are new possibilities. His new roommate Will might be a bit "all-over-the-place" and obsessed with getting a girlfriend but he is also a really nice guy, but he has nothing on Nesto Reyes. He was the first guy he literally bumped into when he arrived with his huge old suitcase and they somehow bonded right from the start over a mutual musical interest. Yet though Nesto is the most easy going guy EVER and also sweet and understanding, Ethaniel needs time to process and maybe just BE for awhile. But give him a bit of a time he'll get there :)
I REALLY enjoyed this one though it was a sort of snippet. Yet I felt we got an arch with Ethaniel even if just two days. He is here to stay, to make a change, to stay the same yet be accepted for who he is. It was a great beginning, I wish for a bit more than just a short novella yet I'm still happy with what we've got.
