Circle (Roads #3) by Garrett Leigh

This book wasn't just Ash and Pete coming full circle, it me as well. "Slide", the first book in this series was the first I've read by Garrett. It's been 2½ years and I've completed all of her published work and became addicted on the way. Pete and Ash's story was soul crashing but it was also gentle, loving and endearing even though they are both not the romantic kind. This book brings us and them a true feeling of HEA even though they have to go through a new journey before they get there.

Freed (Roads #2.5) by Garrett Leigh

While the series was concluded in second installment "Rare", as "Marked" is a free short novella from the first installment "Slide", this one is a free short glimpse from "Rare". it can be found at the publisher's website (click HERE to download).

Rare (Roads #2) by Garrett Leigh

This is the second and last installment in the Roads series. Well, there is still one free scene in "Freed", yet the love story and the Happily Ever After of Pete Adams and Ash Fagin is here and it couldn't be righter or sweeter.

The first installment finished with Ash seeing his sister for the first time on the streets of Philadelphia. He didn't know that for sure back then and didn't want to believe he actually has a family member out there, but Ellie did her job well, it WAS her. But that's not the time and place they acknowledge their kinship. It happens later, and totally by mistake. I guessed who she was and how they would meet in the previous installment, I had a feeling it would be similar to the way both Pete and Ash were tormented by the same man for different reasons (I'm talking about Daryl Hunter who abused Ash as a kid and bashed Pete with a bat when he was trying to get Daryl's wife into the ambulance while on duty as a paramedic). I don't want to spoiler so I won't specifically tell you how it happens.

Marked (Roads #1.5) by Garrett Leigh

This novella contains the scene in which Ash does the cover up of Pete's tattoo and what follows next was sexy and sweet at the same time. It's a free download from the publisher's website (Click HERE to download).

Slide (Roads #1) by Garrett Leigh

Outstanding! I would say it was a JOY to read, but with all the heart ache I guess it's not exactly the right word.. I LOVED this book to pieces. I would have read it in one gulp but as usual life keeps getting in the way of my reading! grrrr!

You have to be a fan of the overly wounded hero to enjoy this one, but as I CLEARLY am it's just the perfect book for me. I also really liked that though one character was the "flawed" one, the other one wasn't too perfect or rather it wasn't just about one fixing the other. It's a love story. Love is found from the first few pages but as healing goes, there is more than just one person being there for the other to right the wrongs.
