Fragments of Ash (A Modern Fairytale #7) [Ash & Julian] by Katy Regnery

Beautiful though not an easy read at all! For the first few chapters my stomach was cramping from Ash's life situation. The lack of love and safety she had to endure for most of her life and the HORRIFIC future her stepfather has in mind for her. I ACHED for her. She was so young and naive and yet she was much more mature than she seems. This book suppose to be a retelling of Cinderella and while there ARE a lot of similarities it's so very unique. Also love the beautiful connections between Cinder(ella) and Ash(ley).

Ashley Ellis has been living under her mother's shadow all of her life, only for more than just appearances most of everyone thinks Ash is the younger sister of Tigin the supermodel. When Teagan Ellis was 15 years old she got pregnant, her parents where so ashamed they preferred to have the baby as "their" mostly to shelter themselves from criticism, yet they didn't want anything to do with the baby. When Teagan is discovered and becomes the famous "Tigin" she takes her daughter away to her awful yet glamorous world. Teagan in hectic and all over the place, she isn't exactly motherly material and as she starts using drugs it even worsen their situation. Teagan stops getting jobs and when an opportunity to marry the VERY rich (and much older) Mosier Raumann she accepts not realizing the HUGE mistake she is making in this bargain.

Shear Heaven (A Modern Fairytale #6) [Bella & Nico] by Katy Regnery

Truly an endearing story. Every page, ever passage in this one feels like the fairytale that it is. I admit I don't think I've ever read or seen the story of Rapunzel but really it makes no difference, I FELT our little princes locked in a tower even if it was a grand hotel and even though she technically wasn't unable to step foot outside of it. She was still trapped. My heart broke for her, for the miserable life she had to live with the sad circumstances that led to it. 

Bella Capelli have been working for her godmother for the past few years, ever since her parents died in a car accident. Her godmother and her mother used to be best friends in high school but the years apart and the distance from the small town in Switzerland the grew up in to New York city where her godmother have  been building her salon empire shows us a woman who is determined to work Bella to the ground, using her as much as she can and practically enslaving her to her job and herself. 

Don't Speak (A Modern Fairytale, #5) [Laire & Erik] by Katy Regnery

The little Mermaid have been a favorite of mine for many years, since the Walt Disney movie came when I was just a dreamy little girl. So it's no wonder I was really excited about the modern version. I didn't know how Katy would pull it off, and since I dislike reading any promotional snippets, and since I don't usually read synopsis of books by authors I love (since I'm going to reading then anyway), I came into this one almost totally "blind". I DID read the synopsis just before I opened the first page but it still gave me no real idea of how BEAUTIFUL this book would be, how fairy-tale like, in a way it was even better made than the previous ones in the series, because in every step of the way I felt inside a (modern) fairy tale. 

Dark Sexy Knight (A Modern Fairytale, #4) [Colt & Verity] by Katy Regnery

Where to start.. The whole idea behind this book was so cool! I mean, how do you re-create the Legend of Camelot if not in a theater which brings exactly that! Colt is our "dark (and sexy ;)) knight" with Verity joining as a merchant with her brother helping out in the stables. Though I have never been to this kind of theater it really made me wish I could find something like that and go see it! 

Ginger's Heart (A Modern Fairytale, #3) [Ginger & Cain / Woodman] by Katy Regnery

This book was so amazing I truly have no words. It was quite long but it never dragged, read it literally in a day - started Saturday, a little after midnight and finished it on 10 p.m. and I was just floored with what this book brought out from me, the dept of emotion, the tears that kept on falling (which is quite rare for me). I don't like making those kind of grandiose announcements so I won't say it was THE best book I've ever read, frankly I'm not committing to it because I might not remember one at the moment and find myself upset in the future ;) but there is NO DOUBT it's one of the best I've EVER read. This book was so heart breakingly beautiful I don't even know where and how to begin this review. But one thing have to be said right away - GO GRAB IT AND START READING - ASAP!

Never Let You Go (A Modern Fairytale, #2) [Griselda & Holden] by Katy Regnery

Oh my, what an UBER emotional ride.. While the previous Fairytale of "Beauty and the Beast" was sweet and heartfelt, this one of "Hansel and Gretel" was heart breaking and angsty. It had a total different feel / vibe to it. I have to say, though I DO enjoy angsty novels, this one was stretching it a bit for me. I mean, I still really enjoyed it - I ached for both MC, waiting for them to FINALLY get what the SO deserved and yet, there were times were I thought that it's taking too long. I"m spoiled like that.. I"m not used to singular novels containing more than 400 pages. Mostly I don't see the NEED for such a long ride, maybe in a PNR and especially in a series when there is more back stories / sub plots and world building. 

Okay, so let's talk about the novel already. Holder and Griselda are our modern day "Hansel and Gretel", Griselda has been living in foster care for most of her life and Holder is the new addition to the house she is living in now. They form a quiet connection on the first night he arrives so when she volunteers to walk to buy sandwiches for the whole family while on vocation he asks to join her. They meet with Caleb Foster on their way who convinces Griselda to take them back to the camp where they are staying, while Holder doesn't believe Caleb he rather stay with Griselda than leave her behind.

The Vixen and the Vet (A Modern Fairytale, #1) [Savannah & Asher] by Katy Regnery

What a STUNNING love story. Well, I guess I AM a sucker for a fairy tale, especially for "Beauty and the Beast". It's the first I've read by Katy and it WON'T be the last (and not simply because I have the next installment right after this one ;))

The beginning of the story was the most cliche of all, but it gave the story a beautiful frame. Savannah is sitting with her soon to be married little sister Scarlet. Scarlet is reading an article on how to make sure the guy you're with is "the one" for you forever. What starts as random facts Scarlet is trying to see if apply to her relationship with her soon to be husband Trent becomes the exact frame - with most chapters having a title  from this list. Savannah's love for Asher and him for her is something neither of them expected would happen but it did, with every sentence from that list crossed.
