Roman Holiday 3: Blindsided by Ruthie Knox

This novella is actually a whole book divided to 10 parts. Each part is about 40-60 pages long. The first 5 parts are released weekly from 11th of November till 9th of December while the 5 following parts will be released around March 2014.

If you haven't read the first and second Roman Holiday installment - you shouldn't read my review of the third part...  (Here is the review of the first one / second one

Before you begin reading don't miss out the hilarious preface by Ruthie also containing a reminder to the two previous installments.

Roman Holiday 2: Hitched by Ruthie Knox

This novella is actually a whole book divided to 10 parts. Each part is about 40-60 pages long. The first 5 parts are released weekly from 11th of November till 9th of December while the 5 following parts will be released around March 2014.

If you haven't read the first Roman Holiday installment - you shouldn't read my review of the second part... (Here is the review of the first one

My god I just laughed and laughed this one out.. my dog here was VERY annoyed - what should a dog do to have his precious evening nap WITHOUT all those shouts of laughter! Jeez!

Roman Holiday 1: Chained by Ruthie Knox

This novella is actually a whole book divided to 10 parts. Each part is about 40-60 pages long. The first 5 parts are released weekly from 11th of November till 9th of December while the 5 following parts will be released around March 2014.

I have to say that though I do have some good qualities I'm definitely lacking in restraint and patience... So for me to be limited to 50 pages a week for a book I REALLY want to read ( = anything Ruthie writes..) isn't exactly how I like to run things.. On the other hand it does keep you on your toes and of course it might mean I will accomplish more per day since I won't be buried inside the book ignoring the world around me ;) all in all I think that this concept (starting with Truly on Wattpad which is still available for free till the end of the year) is interesting - I salute Ruthie for the unique idea!

Falling for the Ghost of You by Nicole Christie

This one tells the story of Violet a teenage school girl who falls in love in practically the "(not only) American Dream" - he's gorgeous, he's rich, he's a little older than her (college guys are the hottest, right?), he's experienced with girls (but as always he's not the relationship kinda guy..) and as a bonus it seems that he's her soon to be step brother.. oh, his name is Zane (as a Cut & Run addict I clearly approve of the name :D)

Heating Up the Holidays - Play with Me by Lisa Renee Jones / Snowfall by Mary Ann Rivers / After Midnight by Serena Bell

Play with Me by Lisa Renee Jones   ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

This short novella tells the story of Kali - leaving her home in Texas to begin a new life in Vegas. In Vegas she meets Damion her new (too good looking) boss. Both Kali and Damion has a past that as Kali phrases - got them bruised but not broken - but nevertheless they keep their past from each other. Both of them don't easily trust other people. The passion between the two of them was making it VERY hard for them to work with each other but the both of them are determined to keep each other. Little by little they realize that together is the right call :)

Sam Cruz's Infallible Guide to Getting Girls by Tellulah Darling

I SO wanted to love this book! but apparently it was a sort of disappointment. It's not that it wasn't good - This one is fun and funny, easy going and flowing book I finished in one day - It's just I'm thinking I'm not the right "crowd". I'll admit I'm "so and so" with YA books. In general I'm not very appreciative of teen ages.. So I guess I'm saying "It's me, not him (=the book)" ;)

Truly (New York #1) by Ruthie Knox

I'm starting to consider I might be addicted to Ruthie's books.. I've read everything she published (except for the Roman Holiday which I bought and will be reading this weekend probably) and each novel make me realize how much I love reading her!

This book can be read for free till the end of the year through Wattpad (in the summer the book will be published regularly following 2 more books in the series). It's a really cool concept! When it started each week Ruthie published a few chapters till the ending of the novel (which was a little over a week ago). So you get the suspense of "what to come" each week.

Shock & Awe (Sidewinder #1) by Abigail Roux

A short steamy novella of Nick and Kelly and the starting of their relationship - also starting the new "spin-off" series to Cut & Run

Kelly was injured pretty bad in the last book of Cut & Run (Touch & Geaux). Nick takes him back to his home to take care of him. This is not something to surprise anyone it's just the way Sidewinder works and definitely how Nick works - he takes care of everyone.

Nick recently "came out of the closet" admitting he is gay (or rather Bi) Kelly might have been surprised but he is mostly curious. Curious enough to ask Nick to kiss him just to "try it out". From there their violent attraction keeps on rising..

Driving Her Wils (Wilinski #3) [Steph & Patrick] by Meg Maguire

Sadly, I didn't really like this one.. I LOVED the previous one (Taking Him Down) but here I just felt it wasn't "special" enough. The characters too plain.

On the last book Rich mentions there is a new person to be joining the boxing club - Steph. She signed up to be an instructor after deciding to end her boxing carrier. Steph will be 30 soon, she has being boxing for years and she feels her age is catching up with her - she needs to start thinking about settling down - find someone that doesn't struggle with his income (she had enough financial problems growing up and as a female boxer she didn't earn a lot..) someone who isn't like all the other guys she used to date..

Curve Ball by Charlotte Stein

oh HOW MUCH I enjoyed this one..

I'm (still) on vocation, having time to read almost as I please but today started annoying continued to impossible and "ended" with wanting to be left alone. If only I could have done what I did today everytime THAT happens! :D I put on my bathing suit, took other swimming acessories, my kindle and a bottle of water. 3 hours later. I'm totally relaxed having swam a little but mostly comsumed this short novella. Came to my room feeling absolute bliss. Even had an epiphany - All I want in life can be expressed in these few sentences - Being left in peace to read, preferable not wearing much (= bathing suit)  on a comfortable chair enjoying the agreeable rays of sun (=not too hot) and reading of other (imaginary) people life, a life I would clearly wouldn't have (that without even mentioning vampires.. oops I just did... :D)

Taking Him Down (Wilinski #2) [Rich & Lindsey] by Meg Maguire

WOW! what a pleasure this one was! Though I liked the first one of Mercer and Jenna, I loved this one much more!

So we have Rich Estrada a YUM of a boxer but also a rising star. After a sucessful fight he is signed off, during the after party of the fight he and Lindsey share a very passionate kiss but it ends too quickly leaving the both of them with a memory they wish they could repeat but understand they can't.

Home for the Holidays (Night Huntress #6.5) by Jeaniene Frost

This one is a short novella in the Night Huntress Series. If you have't read Jeaniene's post on the matter, she intended to write two more books in the Cat & Bones series (book 7+8) but after finishing this novella and preparing the next one she realized that this novella made a 8th book unnecessary since after book 7 she would finish what she had to write about them.

In this novella, we are intruduced with a person from Bones's past that he wasn't aware of and also one that doesn't have good intensions for him and his friends. It's up to Cat, Ian and Denise to figure out what went wrong with their friends and loved ones and how to fix it.

Uncharted (On The Island #1.5) by Tracey Gravis-Graves

This is a short sequel novella of On The Island telling us of Owen, the guy who built the cabin Anna and T.J. found on the Island when they explored the island.

Owen knocks on Anna and T.J.'s door to tell them his story and to apologize in his own way (I'm not going to tell you about what :)) he sits down and tells them how he arrived on the island and what happened to him while he was there.

His story is different from their story about day to night, while I see their story as a happy one even with all the difficulties they had, his story felt very very sad and lonely.

On The Island (On The Island #1) by Tracey Gravis-Graves

I've read many Romance novels, a lot lately! But if I thought "I've read it all" - reading this one showed me that clearly I haven't!

This novel tells the story of Anna, a 30 years old school teacher who accepts a job for the summer to assist / help catch up a 16 years old kid who missed most of the previous due to having cancer. Anna isn't heired to teach him at home, oh no, she flys to the Maldives with him (the rest of the family arrived there a few days prior) to teach him there. Sounds cool, ha? Well it might have been if their plane didnt crush in the sea, where a lot of little islands make it impossible to find them, that's without mentioning the fact that the waters are filled with sharks..

After Dead: What Came Next in the World of Sookie Stackhouse (Sookie Stackhouse #13.5) by Charlaine Harris

This is the last book on the Southern Vampire Series, best known as "Sookie Stackhouse".
I've read all books in the series, loved the first ones better than the last ones.
In my opinion, when the TV Show True Blood started Harris got alittle lost and started changing the characters in a way that matched the way the characters played in the show but meant that they stopped being true to themselves..
