One Hot Night (Old Port Nights #1) by Samantha Hunter

This one was EXACTLY what I needed. After all the crazy crazy at work, being sick and mostly feeling tired I found that I lost my ability to sit down and gulp a whole book (OK, most of the time it's half a book..). Adding to that the poor choice of books I have lately and it's really been a while since I sat down and read a book I could enjoy beginning to end. Yeah, I know that this one is 80 pages but that's the fun in novellas, you don't have the time to invest in a "real read" you want a little "time off" you want to have it "all" right now a story with a beginning - plot - end and all in about two hours.

Dangerous Magic by Samantha Hunter

This novella was so-so for me.. I liked it but it didn't "drew me in". the story itself was nice - we are in the city of Salem and we have a story with witchcraft. Gwen is a witch though she isn't very committed to the wicca way of living. She meets Nathan on the local wicca store - he isn't into magic, he doesn't even believe in magic (though he has a secret of his own) but he is there to write a story about "modern witches".

Strangers on a Train by Ruthie Knox, Donna Cummings, Samantha Hunter, Serena Bell, Meg Maguire

I LOVED all 5 of these.
Each one is a really short novella (about 70 pages) and they are fabulous!! It's really a nice idea that each one of the authors wrote some story taking place on a train - each one is different though the setting is the same.

Two Perfect by Samantha Hunter

The idea behind this story is nice. After a "bad break up" we sometimes have our insecurities. They're not always very defined, sometimes we are just worried it just "won't work out" or we won't find anyone or they are all jurks out there ;) But Eva has quite a defined fear. She thinks she is simply boring and un-adventuress in bed (thanks to her ex-boyfriend).

Tight Quarters (Strangers on a Train) by Samantha Hunter

Brenna and Reid are "stuck" together for a few days in the same berth on a train when both of them wants this trip to be a "time off". Actually Reid doesn't mind that much sharing the berth with her, but he won't give up his place on the train, while Brenna, dealing with her claustrophobia - REALLY doesn't want to share the berth with him (he's too big! :D) or anyone else that clouds her space and she surely doesn't want to give up the ride.

Barely There by Samantha Hunter

I didn't know what I was thinking about this story while reading it. It's really short, about 40 pages I think. It's quite strange. I wasn't sure if it's a "strange good" or a "strange bad".
But in the end I really liked it.
These 40 pages are packed with sex and emotions though it's quite obvious where this is going..

Bending Over Backwards by Samantha Hunter

I'm in the middle of Midnight Breed Series (fictional and vampiric), just finished the 4th book and wanted something sweet and easy to read. It was quite early in the evening and I had a few hours to read before I sign out for the day. grabbed this one and drowned in it.

What a sweet sweet story!
