In the Right Light by G.B. Gordon

Truthfully I just didn't connect with this one. It was too short to be realistic romantic wise, at least for me. it felt too fast and the "relationship buildup" felt more like an infatuation.

Danny Holt and James Carver find themselves working at the same project from different ends. James a landscaper, and Danny working artistic lights in a big estate. Though it's what Danny usually does with his artistic talent, James works with his older brother and father who mostly put him off and so their usual clients are more "mediocre", this is a big chance for them yet if they keep their attitude it's not just they won't get better jobs, James would leave as well. He had enough of his father and how badly he treats him... James has his dreams but he doesn't feel he'll be able to pursue any of them with his father managing the business..

Stand by Your Manny (The Mannies #3) [Sammy & Cooper] by Amy Lane

It's been a while since I've read the first book in the series of Tino and Channing and I truly missed them. To get them as the PARENTS was actually great. It was obvious they are an established couple and though they might have their diffrences, I enjoyed seeing these as well. But this story isn't about them, it's about Sammy - Channing's nephew, the one he found himself taking care of when Sammy's mother died 15 years ago.

Sammy Lowell grew up to be a sweet and endearing guy. He LOVES his big family, even if most of them aren't related by blood (or at all) to him.. But never mind, for him it's the opportunity of spending time with so many people he cares about. Channing and Tino truly raised a kid with a heart of gold. Though he isn't a kid anymore.. he is 21 years old and a VERY talented musician looking to explore his abilities as a teacher but also as a performer.

Whisper (Skins #2) [Harry & Joe] by Garrett Leigh

This was such a heartfelt story! I really enjoyed it :) It was tender and yet it was also raw in a way. I loved the scenery of the farm, I could understand how it healed both Joe and Harry just being there. I've volunteered for years in a therapeutic farm, I have so many great memories and even the memory of the peacefulness. Harry truly found THE place to sit and write his book.... everything else that happened NEEDED to happen for sure, but the setting was simply beautiful for it, even though there was a lot of "gloom" in the farm, or rather it's current state. But I'm getting ahead of myself..

Harry Foster's life, at least from his Instagram account, looks perfect. He is a successful physiotherapist, he is fully booked and he is even offered to write a book about his knowledge. But he can't seem to find the time or the right mood to actually BE writing, which is why he is offered to take the summer off and MAKE the time to write. His brother finds him a room for rent in a small town in a farm which rescues horses. The pictures looks perfect and so he finds himself living in "Whisper Farm" looking for the person he corresponded with - Emma Carter, only to find first her mother and later her grumpy big brother - Joe who runs the place.

Speakeasy (True North #5) [May & Alec] by Sarina Bowen

This one was as beautiful as it's cover. You shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, but when it matches so precisely - what can I do ;) I enjoyed getting May and Alec's story. I loved that they were an "unlikely couple" and maybe because of that they didn't truly give each other a chance which made them subconsciously realize it's pretty much bullshit and they DO actually make a wonderful couple :)

If you ask anyone in the Shipley family, they'll all agree that though they love May dearly she is the family's "black sheep". Besides getting her BA as an attorney everything else she seems to screw up.. Falling for the wrong person isn't even the worst, though it becomes a habit.. though it's nothing like her other "habit" she acquired through college - Alcoholism... She struggles to make her life work but somehow she always finds herself in this spot where everyone is feeling sorry for her and coddle her with a too-tight protective blanket.

Studly Period (The Ivy Years #5.5) [Josephine & Pepe] by Sarina Bowen

This was the SWEETEST novella EVER. I LOVED IT! Granted, I had to wait till all the chpaters were out because waiting for a mere chapter each week just wasn't for me but actually reading it - ALL of it - was literally a doctor's subscription to my mental and physical health.

Josephine Allister is a sweet and nerdy introvert. Working at the tutoring center is helping her a little to interact with people she doesn't know but she is still quite closed off. When Pepe Gerault comes into her view she have a difficulty with more than her tongue. The French-Canadian Hockey player is just too much. He is fun and easy going and a total opposite of her. Yet through the essays he writes and she corrects they form an unlikely and endearing friendship.

Pursued (Treasured - Shadowed - Reclaimed) (Treasured, #1-3) [Daniel & Rhys] by Cari Z.

I started this book almost a MONTH ago, I don't know if I should even try and blame the book for the fact until yesterday I only read 14% (!) of it.. (the rest I actually finished in one evening) Truthfully I had ZERO time! But one thing I can't deny.. Both Daniel and Reese weren't my favorite characters. Took me long enough for them to "grow on me" I guess.

The world Daniel Hart lives in contains magical abilities and though Daniel isn't a very talented spell caster he has found his calling working in preserving those beautiful and powerful magical artifacts in a way the public can enjoy them. Daniel is an introvert scholar so nothing he has done in his past or who he is prepares him for his meeting with Rhys Daveth (or as he calls him - Reese).
