Five Dates by Amy Jo Cousins

This short novella was so damn CUTE and funny and heart warming! Devin made a few choices in his life he ISN'T sorry about, most have to do with being there for his sister when she found out she was pregnant and the age of 18. Now, more than ten years later after losing (another!) bet to her she makes him go on 5 dates so he can do something for himself for a change.

The first date was everything Devin could ask for, only problem is, his sister posted a picture of him when he was 22 years old.. 13 years ago was a LONG time and though he is still good looking he isn't exactly the guy in that picture and Jay, the VERY young guy who answered to that photo might find him sexy yet he swore not to do older men.. been there, was crushed by it, had enough..

The relationship build up was so damn sweet!!! It's clear they both want each other other yet they both old off for their own personal reasons. They try to be friends, they try to stay away but in the end they just want to be in each others arms. This is were you insert the "awwww" - well deserved! :)

This was a light read, though saying that makes me LOL since I had other things planned for the evening but having a no electricity for about an hour wasn't part of it! So I just sat in the dark, having my LIGHT and very enjoyable, funny and sweet read. This was a great opportunity for me to try Amy's work. I really enjoyed her writing in this one so I'll sure be checking out more by her!

This short story is a part of "Love's Landscapes", it's a project formed in the "M/M Romance" Group in Goodreads. Members post photos and/or short letter with the concept of the short novella they are interested in then the M/M Romance authors who also partake in the group choose the ones they want to "reply" to. It's a really cool idea! I love it! It's also great since it's short and it's free. This is the second one I've read, it's really fun!
