Capture & Surrender (Market Garden #5) [Frank & Brandon] by L.A. Witt & Aleksandr Voinov

Wow. This book is by far my favorite in the series. It was heart breakingly beautiful! There were so many times I had the shivers, the whole story was just so tender and yet heart crushing. I just wanted everything to work out as best as it can while knowing it's not going to be easy / possible no matter what.

Unlike the previous installments which were "light" in the issues the couple were dealing with, this one had something WAY more serious that prevented Frank from pursuing his interest in Stefan (later on revealed his real name is Brandon).

The story begins with Nick telling Frank (the owner of "Market Garden") he is finished working at the famous Dom rentboy. Frank is happy for Nick but this means he needs to find someone to replace him. Welcome Stefan, American ex-soldier that pushes all Frank's kinky buttons. Too bad Frank doesn't date the people who work for him or don't date in general.. Yet with Stefan he finds it harder than usual.

Not really knowing why, Frank offers Stefan to join his friends to their weekly paintball game. The game isn't your regular shoot to paint, it's also about capturing guys from the other team and having a little bit of fun with them as "spoils of war" (in full consent). The game doesn't really go as Frank plans, not on the first time and not later on as his attraction is becoming unbearable (and obvious..) so he has no other choice but to confine in Stefan and explain why they can't be together. Good thing Stefan isn't very good at taking orders or taking shit from Frank...

The whole novel is told from Frank's POV. I didn't feel the need to have Stefan/Brandon's POV because his behavior was quite obvious and the inner struggle was just Frank's and boy what a struggle he had! I was totally broken for him and what he went through, what he is going through now and how much he wants Brandon yet isn't willing to put him in harm's way. I don't want to write more about it not to spoiler just be ready to have one hell of a heart ache throughout the whole story.

I loved that the authors took such a difficult situation and brought it in a very realistic feeling way. It wasn't easy to read and I can't even think about how hard it could be in real life yet I do believe that this subject should be brought into attention more often.

I'm loving this series. Each couple is so different from one another. Can't wait for the last novel (which I hope in the long run won't be the last..). I should say that this one can be read as a stand alone, as well as the other bundles in the series. As long as you stick to a couple the order doesn't matter.

ABOUT THIS SERIES

Market Garden is an Erotica MM Romance series by L.A. Witt and Aleksandr Voinov

Welcome to Market Garden, a London club that caters to the better-off. Businessmen and bankers come here to relax and indulge in their every whim and fantasy, and Market Garden offers it all in top-shelf quality: threesomes, voyeuristic pleasures, domination, ropes and camo and leather. Men of every stripe, colour, and nationality deliver these high-end services—everyone has their reasons to sell sex.
And it’s the hottest sex in town.

And sometimes, it’s even served with a side of true love.

While I didn't know what to expect when I started the first installment in the series, now I can definitely say it's an absolute favorite! I liked some better than other, mostly "Capture & Surrender" but also "Tristan and Jared" story.

Each couple has their own stand alone novel / bundle and while all the installments are rather short they do bring us a full story with a sweet "Happy for now" feeling at the end.

As long as you stick to one couple there isn't much importance to the order in which you read these. I think it's better to pick a couple and read their installments together and not read the whole series by the order it was written (mostly because Tristan & Jared's ending is in the 6th installment though their previous installments are the first and second in the series). That being said, the 7th installment should be read after reading Nick & Spencer's story as well as Frank & Brandon's (meaning installment #3-#5) since they both appear as formed couples in that final installment.

If you're looked these ones up and discovered pretty pretty covers it's because they are all re-published by Aleksandr Voinov. They're the same though. Still recommended :)
