All the Pretty Poses (Pretty #2) [Kennedy & Reece] by M. Leighton

This book has been SUCH a disappointment. I was angry when I went to sleep and I woke up angry! Lets say that most of the book (round 80%) was OK. I didn't like Reece so much (he's an arrogant ass that thinks that everything he wants he can and WILL have... for me it's disgusting and NOT attractive trait in a guy..), he meets his teenage love Kennedy by total mistake and is immediately enthralled by her. Which means he'll do right about anything to make her his again, and she, having been left by him when she was 15 had enough but she can't resist his offer so she joins him for a voyage in his boat AS HIS EMPLOYEE just to he'll give her the opportunity of her lifetime for a dancing career. Yeah

Dark Lover (Black Dagger Brotherhood #1) [Wrath & Beth] by J.R. Ward

Since April is coming fast and with it "The King" Book 12 in the Black Dagger Brotherhood will be out, I've decided to listen to the Audio Books of the series from start to finish. I think I originally read the first 10 about 2 years ago. Back then I just got my Kindle and I didn't really interact with anyone but a good friend who recommended books to me. She started with Sookie Stackhouse and when she saw I loved it, offered I read this one. So as it goes with most of what she recommends - I sat down to read and wasn't disappointed :)

The first book is about Wrath who is actually the King of the race though he refuses to act as one.

He only runs the brotherhood and fights along side them. The Black Dagger Brotherhood, an order of Vampires who protects their kind mostly from the Lessening Society, a group of soul-less humans (actually they USED to be humans before they gave their soul to become Lessers). He is very distant from most of the Warriors and doesn't interact with them often.

Southern Winterland (By Degrees #0.5) by Taylor V. Donovan

That's a really short novella, about 30 pages. It was nice but it was, well, I didn't find it interesting enough.

Chris falls in love with his good and straight friend Remy after an almost first (and drunk) kiss. Trying to handle the feeling he keeps away from Remy as best as he can.

Remy, starting to consider he might not be only into gals but into Chris as well doesn't handle well the fact that Chris keeps his distance, he wants to confront Chris and see if his attraction might be mutual.

Chris is planning a party which he needs Remy's help, the novella starts from Remy's POV on planning the event then moves to Chris with how he is trying to avoid Remy in the party itself. Lastly we have alternative POVs of both of them as they finally get down to it.

The Reader by Bernhard Schlink (נער קריאה)

This review is going to be both in Hebrew and English. I read this book in Hebrew therefore I think a Hebrew review will be better, but since all my other reviews are in English I'll make an English one as well.

The Warlord Wants Forever (Immortals After Dark #1) by Kresley Cole

I do apologize but I'm just, well, bored.
The first chapter was terrible and the explanation is so simple - I didn't understand anything. Anything at all. Who is he, who is he rooting for, where are they, what time in history and I could go on but I can't remember any of the character mentioned.
Then we moved on to the two main heroes, I didn't feel anything to any one of them. They were like instruments to greedy sex. Even the "sex scenes" were boring to me.

Before You Break (Between Breaths #2) [Quinn & Ella] by Christina Lee

I feel like a need a breather hehe
Awesome book. LOVED IT.
Even though I love easy going books there is something in me that keeps rooting for the broken heroes. and when the guy is the broken one who needs the girl it makes it even more beautiful.

Remember Ella? Avery's best friend? She was dating Joel in "All of You" (the first in the "Between Breaths" series, though they could be both read as a stand alone) but as it turns out it doesn't really work out for them any more. They are both in this relationship for the wrong reasons (Joel is a douche..) and as Ella starts to realize that she also starts to notice Quinn. I love that name, I don't know why, but I just do. I also love his first name Daniel (though no one calls him that). One of my all times favorite named from when I was a kid.

The Backup Boyfriend (The Boyfriend Chronicles, #1) [Alec & Dylan] by River Jaymes

WOW! I started this one yesterday, didn't really know what to expect and every sentence I read in this book made me fall in love with it. Everything about it. I thought to myself, what happen to these kinds of easy reads? Where you begin reading and even when there's tension in the air it is still light, and somehow funny (thought the angst comes later on). I got to this one through Danielle's blog.

I loved both Dylan and Alec, no matter how different they are who they are with each other made the difference. Their romance was beautiful even if it doesn't seem like romance, maybe it's more for both of them figuring out what they want, who they want and sticking with it, going after their hearts.

Up from the Grave (Night Huntress #7) by Jeaniene Frost

I was waiting for this one a LONG time. But when it was actually published it was like I was scared to read the last book in the series. I LOVED the previous ones and saying goodbye seemed a little bit too soon. Sure, there will be at least two more - one in the Night Huntress World as Jeaniene had promised and another one of the Night Prince which I absolutely in love with. I think the Night Prince is my all times favorite series!

Jeaniene wanted to have two more books in the series but after publishing "Home for the Holidays" (Night Huntress #6.5) she said she will be finishing the series after only one book since that's all she has planned for Cat and Bones. I get that and I really supported that though some people were disappointed. OK, I was also disappointed but I rather have a great series then a medium one continuing to no end..

So after two weeks of contemplating I finally picked this one up. The writing as usual was a pleasure, witty, funny and in an excellent pace. BUT there were some things that threw me of my "happy zone".

Rescue Me by Serena Bell

This is a very short novella (round 30 pages) released for free for Valentine's Day!

It was such a sweet little story. Really enjoyed it. In a sentence, Molly got stuck on the balcony when she tries to "save" a shoe she accidentally threw out the window after her boyfriend, well, ex-boyfriend as it seems, dumped her on Valentine's Day. Her sexy neighbor Dave comes to the rescue and by the way shows her how much more she deserves even more she doesn't ask for much.

Finding CInderella (Hopeless #2.5) by Colleen Hoover

This novella is a gift from Colleen to her readers, thanking them (or should I say - us) for the support she was given right from the first novel she published - Slammed. Which mean it's offered for free. You can read this one as a stand alone since it doesn't contain any spoilers to the two prior books - Hopeless and Losing Hope.

This is the story of Six - Sky's best friend and Daniel - Holder's best friend and how they come to be together. It's a sweet story, I really enjoyed it, enjoyed both Six and Daniel (especially Daniel!). I loved their interaction together, loved how they found each other and how they built their relationship from nothing to fully committed in practically a blink.

Losing Hope (Hopeless #2) by Colleen Hoover

Everything I wrote about "Hopeless" is true about this book. This is a heart breakingly beautiful Novel. I love everything about it, and especially Holder's own voice.
I loved "Hopeless" and getting the story from Sky's POV but hearing it from Holder's gave a different vibe to the story.

This book begins 13 months prior to "Hopeless" and tells us a little bit more about Les and Holder's relationship and portraits the few days before Les's suicide and what happens after it resulting in him moving for a year to his father.

The "Best First Kiss" (Hopeless #1.5) by Colleen Hoover

There aren't a lot to write about this one except it's a joy to read. Only thing is - you MUST read Hopeless BEFORE or it will spoiler the HELL out of you. But you SHOULD know that this scene is a part of "Losing Hope" - the next book in the series which is Holder's perspective of "Hopeless". I actually didn't know that.. So don't be surprised when you encounter this scene about half way through "Losing Hope".

Hopeless (Hopeless #1) by Colleen Hoover

This book is heart breakingly beautiful. I loved it so much! I read it in about a day. It's not an easy story, and it takes time until you get the whole deal. You get bits and pieces along the way and after a while you get why Holder is being the way he is, "what's his deal" sorta thing - he's going to crush your heart..

Sky has been sheltered all her life by Karen her step mother, she is a very understanding and loving mother but her beliefs are, well, not very typical. She doesn't believe in technology therefore - no computer, no TV, no mobile phone and she is also a vegan who eats only healthy food (lucky that on THAT aspect Sky can buy tasty staff to stash away :)) She also doesn't believe in the public school concept therefore she home schooled Sky. But on her senior year (what was suppose to be her senior year) Sky decided she wants to try and be "normal" and do her last year in high school.

All the Pretty Lies (Pretty #1) [Sloane & Hemi] by M. Leighton

Well, I liked this book but didn't fall in love with it. I liked the writing, I enjoyed the plot, but I guess by problem is I didn't really connect with Hemi the main Hero. I guess I could find him attractive for him being a sexy, tattoo artist and I got why Sloane fell for him and how they are similar in so many aspects. But still there was something "off" for me about him. I get that he wanted her for the wrong reasons (with a double meaning you'll get when you read it) but still he was too self absorbed for me. I did like him when the truth came out, when we learn his secret (but you'll have to wait for at least 2/3 of the book if not more..) and when he realized how much he cares about her.

Magic Graves: One for the Money (Night Huntress #4.5) by Jeaniene Frost ; A Questionable Client (Kate Daniels #0.5) - Ilona Andrews

One for the Money (Night Huntress #4.5) - Jeaniene Frost
3.5 Stars
Unlike the two previous Novellas, this one is of Cat and Bones. It was a nice enough story, Cat taking up a guarding job from her uncle Don to protect a girl who is targeted for her life by her cousin wanting her fortune. The girl was quite annoying and Cat and Bones were soon sick of her. They encountered Cat's mother and we see for once that Bones and Justina are sort of mending their attitude against one another.

Devil To Pay (Night Huntress World #3.5) by Jeaniene Frost

What a sweet story! Really enjoyed this one! Again, it's Night Huntress World, not a Cat and Bones novella. Cat and Bones appear briefly since the main heroine - Elis - is sired by Mencheres.

Elis has always been a loner. The minimum she does interact with humans is due to her maker who insists she try to mingle in the modern world.
All this changed when she met Blake, a human possessed by a demon making him a killer when the demon takes hold of his body.
Blake had enough all he wants to do is die - killing the demon as well.
Elis is awed by the sacrifice Blake is willing to make for others and as she spends more time with him she realizes she is falling in love with him.
But what use there is in that when even Mencheres can't save him? The only way to kill the demon is to release him into the salt planes AFTER Blake's death.
So all Blake and Elis have is borrowed time.

Happily Ever After (Night Huntress World #1.5) by Jeaniene Frost

Here I am continuing with reading short novella's of the Night Huntress World. This one tells the story of Chance. Chance's sire - Bones - asks him to take care of a "small matter" for him, helping out Greta, an old friend of his. Greta is worried her grandchildren - Frazier and Isa - are mixed up with the mafia. Frazier has gone missing, probably kidnapped by Robert - Isa's (not so willingly) fiance..

All Chance suppose to do is find out where Robert is holding Frazier and after rescuing him "taking care" of Robert so Isa could get out of his too strong a grasp. But after meeting Isa and getting to know her, all he wants to do is keep her to himself. But what can he do about the fact that she isn't ready to handle his vampire identity? and that fact that Frazier is no where to be found?

Reckoning (Night Huntress #0.5) by Jeaniene Frost

This short novella takes place before Bones and Cat meet. I can't remember in which book Cat and Bones return to New Orleans but here we learn what was the reason Bones was banned from the city and wasn't in good terms with Marie Louveau when he left the city.

Bones is contacted by one of Marie's ghouls to kill a vicious ghoul couple in her name. This couple is quite notorious and have been killing for years (disappearing when they finish their "fit" making it hard to catch them). Bones doesn't have just to find them and kill them, he also has to run from a bounty hunter aiming for HIS head.

Deeper (Caroline and West #1) by Robin York (Ruthie Knox)

There are so many emotions clouding my mind right now which is always a bad thing. Honestly I'don't know any person who is bad, as bad as I am, with emotions. I had to teach myself how to spot them, separate them one from the other while trying to figure them out. So trying to tell you what I feel right now - feels almost impossible.

I'll start with the end, I mean, the ending, it kinda snack up on me, I thought I had more time, I thought we had more time, I thought there's at least 20 more minutes in this book so on the last page I was feeling this heavy load but no tears were forming (granted I suck at that as well.. see, tears are a form of emotion, figures I'll be bad at it..) then it was the end and I was overwhelmed, maybe even angry, confused, betrayed and pissed at myself for not checking up with my friend who read it (are you reading this?? there's a rant in your near future!) why there is a "part two" called "Harder" maybe because even if Deeper is difficult you know that Harder means exactly that. That it's not a happy ending where you close the book with a smile, it's heart clenching painful and I'm not sure if the snippet of "Harder" made it better or worse - Harder, wayyyy harder to wait for the next one. July is far away, too far away for me to even consider, I actually don't know what July would even look like (that's my personal life here speaking up since I'm on a verge of a huge change).
